Anonymous messaging allows you to continue the conversation with the Safeguarding Team after submitting an anonymous report. You can send and receive messages without providing your name or contact details.

Anonymous messaging may allow you to:

  • Provide more information.
  • Answer questions about the report.
  • Ask questions.
  • Receive information or updates where appropriate.
  • Access advice and support while remaining anonymous.

Save your 16 character access code

Important

If you opt into anonymous messaging, you will receive a unique 16 character access code after submitting the report. Save it securely. The code is the only way to return to your report and access messages. NESCol cannot recover, reset or replace it if it is lost.

When will messages be reviewed?

Messages are reviewed during College working hours (Monday - Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and 8.30am to 3.45pm Friday) and are not monitored continuously. You will need to return to the messaging portal using your access code to check for a response.

If you lose your code

You will not be able to access the original messages. You may submit a new anonymous report and explain that it relates to an earlier report, or Contact an Adviser if you are comfortable providing safe contact details.

Emergency

Do mot use anonymous messaging in an emergency. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact 999 immediately.
