You can report a concern without providing your name or contact details. We understand there may be many reasons why someone does not feel ready or able to identify themselves.
What happens to an anonymous report?
The Safeguarding Team will review the information provided and consider any safeguarding concerns, risks, support needs and proportionate next steps. Anonymous reports can also help NESCol understand patterns, improve prevention work and identify areas where further action, awareness or support may be needed.
What are the limitations?
The more relevant information you provide, the more effectively NESCol may be able to respond. If we do not have enough information, cannot identify the people involved or cannot obtain further information, the action NESCol can take may be limited.
Two-way messaging may reduce some of these limitations by allowing the Safeguarding Team to ask questions, provide information and offer support while you remain anonymous. It does not guarantee that formal action will be possible.
Protecting your anonymity
You do not need to provide your name or contact details. However, details within your report or messages may identify you or another person. Only share information you feel able to provide, while including enough relevant detail to help us understand the concern.
