GETTING SUPPORT

Students and staff can report an incident using the College's Report and Support system. You can choose to do this anonymously or you can request support from an adviser. If you decide to talk to an adviser, they will manage to talk through the options and support available to you confidently.

Ways to deal with peer pressure

Trust your instincts - if something feels wrong, it probably is. Planning ahead can help you feel more prepared, including thinking of what to say or do in tough situations. Communicating openly with the person pressuring you, using a secret code to contact your parents for help, or giving a simple excuse can all be effective ways to remove yourself from uncomfortable situations. Surrounding yourself with friends who share your values can also make it easier to say no. Lastly, reaching out to a trusted adult for advice and support can provide additional guidance and confidence.
